Job Description
This role is responsible for managing the financial oversight of multiple federal and state grant programs, including large, complex funding sources. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, proper allocation of funds, and accurate reporting. The position requires deep involvement in determining allowable expenses, supporting audits, and navigating regulatory requirements.
You’ll partner with leadership, program staff, and external agencies to ensure funding is used effectively while maintaining strict compliance standards. With an upcoming leadership transition, this role also offers long-term growth potential and increased responsibility over time.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee financial activity and reporting for federal and state grant programs
- Ensure compliance with grant regulations, including allowable expense guidance
- Partner with stakeholders to support budgeting, planning, and funding decisions
- Prepare reconciliations, variance analysis, and required financial reports
- Support audits and serve as a key contact for external auditors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
- 3+ years of accounting experience, including some financial reporting
- Grant & fund accounting experience or strong understanding of grant processes required
- Experience with audits, compliance, and regulatory environments preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, reporting, analysis)
