Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will ensure printed circuit boards (PCBs) meet quality standards by performing visual and mechanical inspections, using measurement tools, and verifying compliance with specifications. You will document inspection results, identify defects, and collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform visual and manual inspections of incoming, in-process, and finished products
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify specifications
- Operate and maintain testing equipment and ensure proper calibration
- Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications for compliance
- Document inspection results, defects, and quality data
- Identify and manage non-conforming materials to prevent shipment issues
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve defects and improve processes
- Complete inspection reports and verify required documentation
- Perform minor rework as needed and verify quality standards
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math and data entry skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience in PCB, SMT, or through-hole assembly environments
- Familiarity with IPC standards or quality systems (e.g., AS9100)
- Experience with automated testing equipment
