Job Description
The Research & Development (R&D) Technician Temp will be responsible for the lab coating, physical testing, data reporting, and application-based testing of solvent-based pressure sensitive adhesive tapes during the tape development process. This position will also include lab organization, housekeeping, and inventory maintenance.
Responsibilities:
- Follow environmental regulations related to the handling, storage, and disposal of materials
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory and other R&D space
- Responsible for the labeling and inventory of lab samples
- Execute experiments and project work as directed by R&D scientists & engineers, including lab coating, physical and applications testing, support for pilot equipment operations, and support for production trials
- Maintain and clearly communicate records of laboratory test results and experimental observation
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associates degree in science, technology, an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of experience in product development and/or laboratory testing
- Knowledge and experience with pressure sensitive tape (PST) coating processes and equipment preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products for recording data and documenting/reporting work results
- Good mechanical skills, including the ability to understand equipment operations and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
- Good math skills including a basic understanding of algebraic formulas and statistics.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
