Job Description:
We are partnering with a leading specialty vehicle manufacturer seeking a seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team. This role is designed for a highly skilled professional with advanced expertise in sheet metal fabrication and installation. The ideal candidate will be capable of performing multiple assembly functions, training team members across all skill levels, and supporting production operations wherever needed.
Responsiblities:
- Fabricate and install sheet metal components using screws, adhesives, and other fastening methods
- Perform multiple assembly functions and support various production roles as needed
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and production orders with minimal assistance
- Operate tools and equipment including drills, screw guns, sanders, jig saws, hydraulic shears, press brakes, and punches
- Ensure all assemblies meet quality, appearance, and functional standards
- Train and mentor assemblers and sheet metal installers across all pay grades
- Maintain production efficiency and meet established time standards
- Enter and track production data within OEE systems
- Perform basic mechanical adjustments and stay current with TPM practices
- Maintain compliance with safety, QA/QC, and 5S standards
- Handle hazardous materials and waste according to company and regulatory guidelines
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and attendance requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in sheet metal fabrication and installation
- environment
- Experience in vehicle, heavy equipment, or specialty equipment manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficiency with pneumatic and power tools
- Ability to read and use English and metric measuring devices
- Strong understanding of QA/QC standards and ability to reproduce high-quality work
- Experience training or mentoring employees in a production environment
- General knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in teams
- Must maintain qualification standards as a Master Sheet Metal Installer

In the spirit of pay transparency, we want to share the base salary range for this position is $19.00 hourly not including benefits, potential bonuses or additional compensation. If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
