Senior Accountant | Temp-to-Hire | $35-41/ hr – $75-85K annually | Oberlin, OH | Onsite
A growing Ag manufacturing and automation organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to support full-cycle accounting operations. This role offers the opportunity to manage a wide range of accounting responsibilities while gaining visibility into cross-border financial operations within a collaborative and fast-paced finance team. The position will begin with a 60-day evaluation period, with a strong intention of transitioning to a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities
• Manage full-cycle accounting for a Canadian operating entity
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and general ledger activity
• Lead month-end close and reconciliation processes
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and collections functions
• Prepare financial statements and assist with internal reporting
• Analyze financial data and investigate variances
• Assist with inventory accounting and operational financial processes
• Support internal and external audits and maintain compliance documentation
• Partner with operations and finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Manage full-cycle accounting for a Canadian operating entity

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 3–5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop, including system workflows such as sales orders, invoicing, and payment processing
• Experience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plus or willingness to learn
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
