- Competitive Pay: $46 – $78 per hour
- Schedule: Contract-to-Hire (12-month contract with potential for permanent hire)
- Location: Remote within the Kansas City area, will be onsite occassionally
- Opportunity to take ownership of a large-scale VMware environment within a stable infrastructure team
- Manage and maintain the organization’s VMware virtualization environment, including hypervisors and supporting infrastructure.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and support virtual and physical Windows Server environments
- Monitor infrastructure systems and proactively identify potential failures or performance issues.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for systems-related incidents and infrastructure issues.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to infrastructure configurations and system architecture.
- Assist with infrastructure design, deployment, and optimization efforts across virtualization and server environments.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior system engineers while supporting team-wide technical initiatives.
- 5+ years of systems administration experience with a strong emphasis on VMware virtualization environments.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing VMware hypervisors and enterprise server hardware.
- Experience administering and upgrading Windows Server environments.
- Experience working within large enterprise environments supporting hybrid infrastructure is preferred.
- Working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including storage systems, backup strategies, Active Directory, and server hardware platforms.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems issues and deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to manage projects, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver results within deadlines.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $46 – $78 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
