Job Description
The Quality Lab Technician performs quality assurance testing on compounded rubber products to ensure they meet company and customer specifications. This role operates and monitors various laboratory instruments while accurately recording and evaluating test results. The technician prepares samples, performs routine lab procedures, and collaborates with production teams to resolve quality issues. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are essential to maintain product quality and compliance.
Responsibilities
· Perform quality assurance testing on rubber products using various laboratory instruments and testing equipment
· Prepare, cut, and test product samples to ensure they meet required company and customer specifications
· Accurately record, review, and report testing data, including documenting non-conforming materials
· Operate and maintain lab equipment such as viscometers, rheometers, curing presses, ovens, and lab scales
· Complete daily safety and lab checklists while maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment

Qualifications and Requirements
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Basic math, reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
· Lab-related or industrial manufacturing experience preferred
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions
· Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

The base salary range for this position is $34,320–$40,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
