Job Description
The Production Scheduler will manage and coordinate the daily and weekly production schedule to ensure orders are completed on time, materials are available, and resources are allocated efficiently. This role is critical to keeping production flowing smoothly, minimizing downtime, and meeting customer delivery expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules for concrete products.
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, and Production teams to prioritize orders and meet delivery deadlines.
- Track inventory levels and communicate material needs to Purchasing/Materials teams.
- Monitor plant workflow to identify bottlenecks and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Maintain accurate production records and provide regular reports to management on schedule adherence and capacity utilization.
- Collaborate with Operations to plan for maintenance, downtime, or special projects.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize scheduling efficiency and resource use.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or Operations is a plus.
- 2+ years of production scheduling or operations experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or concrete/precast production.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with scheduling software or ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
