Payroll Specialist

A large Omaha-based organization is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations during a major enterprise system modernization project. This role will assist with payroll data processing, employee pay adjustments, and payroll record maintenance while internal teams focus on a large ERP transition.

This is a long-term contract opportunity expected to run through the middle of 2028, offering stability and the chance to work inside a large, mission-driven organization, while being able to elect full time employee benefits.

• Process payroll-related data and additional pay entries
• Review payroll records for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
• Monitor time and attendance exceptions
• Maintain payroll documentation and records
• Respond to employee payroll questions and provide support

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience with ERP payroll systems preferred (PeopleSoft a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential data
