Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers while coordinating freight shipments and logistics operations. This role supports order processing, shipment tracking, load procurement, and communication between customers and carriers. The position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced logistics environment. The Logistics Coordinator also identifies business opportunities and supports the sales team through effective communication and customer support.

Responsibilities

• Support new and existing customer accounts to foster business development
 • Oversee order creation, load procurement, freight tendering, and shipment tracking
 • Communicate shipment updates to customers via phone, email, and web-based systems
 • Coordinate with owner-operators and outside agents to ensure cost-effective shipment execution
 • Maintain accurate documentation and resolve customer issues in a timely manner

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination preferred
 • Strong customer service and communication skills
 • Ability to multitask and manage shipments in a fast-paced environment
 • Proficiency with computer systems, email, and order management platforms
