Job Description
Our client is seeking a mid-level quality professional responsible for ensuring products, materials, and suppliers meet technical and regulatory standards within an industrial manufacturing environment. The role oversees material traceability, calibration systems, supplier quality, third-party inspections, and nonconformance management, while supporting audits and continuous improvement efforts to maintain compliance with industry and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Verify and review material documentation to ensure full traceability (heat, lot, batch)
- Manage and maintain equipment calibration programs and records
- Ensure products comply with technical specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements
- Coordinate and support corrective actions and technical clarifications with suppliers
- Oversee supplier qualification, approval, and performance monitoring
- Review supplier documentation, including Certificates of Compliance (CoCs), SDS, and test reports
- Assist with supplier audits, scorecards, and resolving nonconformances
- Schedule, host, and serve as the main contact for third-party inspections and witness testing (e.g., welding, NDT, hydrostatic, dimensional checks)
- Prepare inspection and test plans, notifications, and supporting documentation
- Record inspection outcomes, punch lists, and manage hold point releases
- Log, track, and monitor nonconformance reports, deviations, and concessions
- Facilitate root cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Support internal and external audits, including compliance with API Q1 and ISO 9001
- Maintain accurate quality records and key performance indicator reporting
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field
- 3–7 years of experience in quality roles within industrial manufacturing, heavy fabrication, or oil & gas
- Knowledge of material traceability requirements and standards such as API Q1 and ISO 9001
- Experience coordinating or supporting third-party inspections preferred
- Familiarity with welding processes, non-destructive testing (NDT), hydrostatic testing, and dimensional inspections is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience using ERP or QMS systems is desirable

The base pay range for this position is $60,000–$70,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
