Job Description
Growing construction/manufacturing organization seeking a Senior AR Analyst to manage invoicing, collections, account reconciliations, and aging reporting. This role partners closely with Sales and Operations to ensure accurate billing, progress invoicing, and strong cash flow management. Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of AR experience, preferably in construction or manufacturing, strong ERP proficiency, and experience with contract-based billing and lien documentation. Hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue accurate invoices for product deliveries and project-based services
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely remittance and proactively follow up on outstanding balances
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Post and apply incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts
- Maintain and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, providing regular updates to leadership
- Partner with Sales and Operations teams to confirm contract terms, change orders, and billing milestones
- Support project-specific billing requirements, including documentation related to compliance and waivers
- Maintain organized and audit-ready records of contracts, invoices, and account communications
- Contribute to month-end close processes related to receivables
- Assist with customer credit reviews and new account setup procedures
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency within AR operations
- Provide support on special projects and other finance-related initiatives as needed
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive Accounts Receivable experience, ideally within construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments
- Solid understanding of invoicing, collections practices, payment terms, and account reconciliation
- Experience working with ERP or accounting systems (such as NetSuite, Sage, or comparable platforms)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in financial data management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with customers and internal teams
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-site operations
- Familiarity with progress billing and contract-based invoicing
- Exposure to industry-related compliance documentation and waiver processes
- Experience working with commercial clients or general contractors
- Background in process improvement initiatives or system enhancements
