Job Description:
Join a high-performing technology team building a modern, cloud-native, API-driven insurance platform that enables small businesses to purchase coverage directly online. As a Senior Software Engineering Team Lead, you will guide a cross-functional Agile team delivering Angular and .NET solutions across multiple domains, combining hands-on development with technical leadership. This role requires close collaboration with backend engineers, product stakeholders, and enterprise architects to ensure UI solutions align seamlessly with RESTful APIs and core business logic, while contributing to architectural decisions, feature delivery, mentoring, and continuous improvement as an active member of the codebase.
Responsibilities:
- Lead an Agile, cross-functional team of developers, QA engineers, and business analysts to deliver high-quality Angular and .NET solutions.
- Serve as technical subject matter expert for a designated domain, contributing to enterprise-wide architectural and integration decisions.
- Design and implement scalable UI and backend features that align with platform standards, RESTful API integrations, and long-term business objectives.
- Mentor team members through code reviews, pair programming, coaching, and career development planning while removing delivery roadblocks.
- Contribute hands-on code, promote strong unit testing practices, ensure system performance targets are met, and champion secure development standards
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 10+ years of software development experience, including deep expertise in C#, .NET, and Angular (v12+), with 3+ years leading development teams.
- Advanced knowledge of Angular architecture, TypeScript, RxJS, NgRx, component libraries, and shared UI frameworks.
- Enterprise-level experience designing RESTful APIs, integrations, cloud-based architectures (preferably Azure), and both monolithic and microservices environments.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code solutions supporting scalable cloud deployments.
- Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills; experience working across multiple Agile product teams.
- P&C insurance experience is a plus

The base salary range for this position is $115,000 – $160,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
