Job Summary
The Human Resources Assistant supports the HR department with day-to-day administrative functions related to onboarding, employee records management, and compliance. This role is responsible for hiring document review, data validation, data entry, and electronic filing of employee files. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to maintain confidentiality, and experience working in a fast-paced HR environment
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough review of hiring and onboarding documentation to ensure completeness and compliance
- Validate employee data for accuracy and consistency across HR systems
- Enter and maintain employee information within HRIS and internal databases
- Manage electronic filing and organization of employee personnel files in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Audit employee records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company guidelines
- Assist with onboarding processes, including tracking required documentation and follow-ups
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records and sensitive information
- Support HR team with administrative tasks, reporting, and special projects as needed
- Respond to internal inquiries regarding employee documentation and records
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 2–3 years of Human Resources or HR administrative experience required
- Experience reviewing hiring documents (I-9s, W-4s, direct deposit forms, offer letters, etc.)
- Strong data entry skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience working with HRIS systems and electronic document management systems
- Working knowledge of employment documentation compliance requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience in high-volume onboarding or personnel file auditing environment

The base pay range for this position is $19.00 – $21.00, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
