Job Description
The Facility Electrician is responsible for performing commercial electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations throughout the facility. This role focuses on maintaining safe and reliable power distribution, supporting equipment operation, and ensuring compliance with NEC and local electrical codes. The electrician will also assist with general facility maintenance to help maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational environment. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to emergency situations as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Perform commercial electrical work including troubleshooting circuits, panels, lighting systems, outlets, breakers, motor controls, and equipment wiring
- Conduct daily inspections of electrical rooms, distribution panels, and backup power systems; report repair needs to management
- Complete work orders per SOP guidelines and update status with management
- Maintain electrical inventory, submit purchase requests, document inspections, and support vendor oversight
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum three years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Journeyman Electrician license (active or expired) strongly preferred
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting, conduit bending, power distribution, and reading blueprints/schematics
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks including climbing ladders, kneeling, and working in tight spaces
- Comfortable working around chemicals (with PPE) and in varying environmental conditions

The base pay range for this position is $22–$24, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
