Job Description
The Mechanical Engineer will design, analyze, and stamp mechanical systems supporting industrial and EPC projects. This role is responsible for piping, pressure vessels, pumps, tanks, skids, and related process equipment while ensuring compliance with ASME and other governing codes. The engineer will collaborate closely with project management, design teams, and construction personnel to deliver accurate and constructible solutions. This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and plays a key role in driving projects from concept through construction.
Responsibilities:
• Design and analyze piping systems and mechanical equipment in accordance with ASME B31.3 and applicable codes
• Prepare, review, and stamp engineering deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, specifications, and data sheets
• Perform pipe stress analysis using analytical methods or FEA tools such as Bentley AutoPIPE or CAESAR
• Develop equipment lists and technical documentation for pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, and specialty equipment
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure schedule and compliance objectives are met

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
• Active Professional Engineering (PE) license required; multi-state licensure preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial or EPC environments
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and pipe stress analysis software
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes and ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight
• Active Professional Engineering (PE) license required; multi-state licensure preferred
• Minimum of 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial or EPC environments
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and pipe stress analysis software
• Strong knowledge of ASME codes and ability to manage multiple projects with minimal oversight

The base salary range for this position is $125,000–$150,000, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
