An established and growing agricultural organization is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support expansion initiatives and manage strategic development projects. This is a highly visible role that partners closely with executive leadership and plays a key part in identifying opportunities, managing real estate transactions, and overseeing livestock site development from concept through completion.

What you’ll be doing
• Meeting with external stakeholders including county officials, engineers, industry groups, and community members
• Identifying and evaluating new business opportunities and advancing them within established timelines
• Conducting site visits to monitor project progress, including utilizing drone technology to document milestones
• Drafting and filing legal real estate documents through Iowa Land Records
• Facilitating multiple real estate closings and mortgage transactions simultaneously
• Coordinating with lenders, attorneys, brokers, surveyors, landowners, and other partners to ensure smooth closings
• Managing livestock site development projects, including contract negotiations and review processes
• Overseeing construction budgeting and supporting newly constructed and acquired assets
• Maintaining and enhancing property databases and mapping software
• Coordinating permitting and documentation with state and county officials
• Managing project invoices and partnering with accounting on payment processing and asset capitalization
• Communicating project updates with internal departments and external partners

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in ag business or ag finance
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in ag business or ag finance
- 3–7 years in:
- Agricultural business development & sales
- Land acquisitions
- Ag real estate
- Livestock project coordination/ risk management
- Rural infrastructure development
- Experience dealing with county/state permitting
- Exposure to ag construction projects
- Experience coordinating multi-party transactions with attorneys, bankers, and state officials
- Strong administrative follow-through
- Strong experience in Excel
