Job Description
We are seeking a dependable Facilities Helper to perform janitorial services, building maintenance, lawn care, and basic office repairs. This role also supports event center set-ups and breakdowns while ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for tenants and staff. The ideal candidate is hands-on, responsive to service requests, and takes pride in maintaining high facility standards. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their maintenance experience in a stable, team-oriented setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general building maintenance and minor repairs, including doors, locks, blinds, and basic plumbing
- Respond to tenant maintenance requests and report issues to the Facilities and Technology Manager
- Complete janitorial duties including restroom cleaning, trash removal, and grounds maintenance
- Assist with office reconfigurations, furniture moving, and event center set-ups/breakdowns
- Conduct make-ready tasks such as painting, cleaning, lock changes, and light bulb replacement
- Run off-site errands and complete additional duties as assigned
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Ability to safely lift 50+ lbs and move furniture, boxes, and supplies
- Strong work ethic and ability to work well with diverse staff, clients, and volunteers
- Effective verbal communication skills; bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Previous building maintenance experience preferred; electrical or HVAC licensing a plus

The base pay for this position is $15.00 per hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
