Job Description
Join a dynamic and growing real estate management company seeking a highly self-motivated senior accountant professional to play a critical role in daily operations. This position focuses on transactional accuracy, financial reporting, and operational support across the organization.
Whether you are an experienced professional or wanting to take the next step in your accounting career, the ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, organizational strength, and a solid foundation in accounting principles. This role partners closely with the Controller & CFO to provide financial insights that support planning and decision-making in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
What You Will Be Doing
- Oversee day-to-day transactional accounting including AP, AR, rent processing, and general ledger maintenance
- Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, loans, and related accounts
- Prepare and review journal entries to ensure financial accuracy
- Maintain accurate financial records through detailed data entry and invoice coding
- Generate and review internal financial reports for accuracy and consistency
- Support lease reconciliations by verifying expense and revenue allocations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
- Monitor and manage cash flow, including preparation of cash flow statements
- Build relationships with internal leadership and external partners including banks and auditors
What They’re Looking For
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience within real estate, construction, &/or property management/ development preferred
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, or equivalent accounting/finance experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in real estate or property management accounting preferred
- High attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability
- Ability to manage high work volume and multiple priorities
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable in a small, team-oriented environment
- Curious, proactive, and eager to continuously improve processes
