Job Description
We are partnering with a busy Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology clinic seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering specialized heart care. This role includes rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, performing EKGs, assisting with cardiac procedures, and documenting accurately during patient and provider interactions. Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain/document vital signs
- Perform 12-lead EKGs and assist with stress tests and cardiac procedures
- Prepare patients for exams and provide education on medications and heart health
- Collect medical histories and update EMR documentation
- Apply and instruct patients on cardiac monitors (Holter/event monitors)
- Assist with referrals, authorizations, and scheduling of diagnostic tests
- Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Medical Assistant experience within a Cardiology clinic is required.
- Comfortable traveling between Cypress and Tomball clinic locations.
- Must be familiar with performing EKGs and manual blood pressures.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Must have completed a Medical Assistant certificate/diploma through an accredited Medical Assistant program.
