Accounting Lead/ CFO | Direct Hire | $100,000-105,000 | Elyria, OH | On-Site
A well-established, growing small business is seeking an experienced individual to lead all accounting & financial operations and support long-term stability, scalability, and growth. This executive-level role is responsible for financial planning, reporting, compliance, and strategic decision-making, working closely with senior leadership to guide the organization’s financial direction. The ideal candidate brings strong financial leadership experience, strategic insight, and a hands-on approach within an operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance
- Develop and implement financial strategies that support sustainable growth and scalability
- Manage risk assessment, internal controls, and regulatory compliance activities
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support decision-making
- Monitor cash flow, profitability, and overall financial performance
- Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting team members
- Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives and business planning
Required/ Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles
- Strong expertise in financial planning, financial statements, and financial reporting
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to forecast trends and assess performance
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
- Software integration experience preferred
