Your New Role:
The Risk Management Coordinator plays a critical role in protecting the Agency’s people, assets, and operations. Under the general administrative direction of the Assistant Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for managing the Agency’s insurance programs and evaluating organizational risk.
This is a highly analytical, detail-driven role requiring strong knowledge of property and casualty insurance, data analysis, and risk evaluation. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with complex data, coordinating with insurers and insured parties, and making strategic recommendations to improve coverage and mitigate risk.
Responsibilities
- Manage and administer the Agency’s insurance programs, including property and casualty coverage
- Evaluate organizational risk and recommend changes to coverage, limits, and policies as needed
- Maintain ongoing communication with insurers, brokers, and insured parties to ensure compliance with policies and contractual obligations
- Monitor, analyze, and estimate the effectiveness of existing insurance coverages
- Prepare and maintain complex administrative reports, statistical analyses, and risk-related documentation
- Process, manage, and analyze data for reporting and decision-making purposes
- Gather information and coordinate disaster recovery and risk response processes
- Support the Human Resources department in executing strategic initiatives aligned with the Agency’s overall direction
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and insurance requirements
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a closely related field
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in data management, statistical analysis, insurance management, accounting, or risk management
- Public sector experience is preferred
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) certification preferred
- Additional Requirements
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
- Must be insurable under the Agency’s insurance policy

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth.
