Job Description
A well-established cardiology clinic in Kingwood is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support cardiac imaging services. This role focuses on cardiac nuclear medicine studies in an outpatient setting and offers flexibility for full-time or part-time schedules, with the opportunity to convert to a permanent position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures related to cardiac imaging (stress tests, myocardial perfusion studies, etc.)
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety and ALARA guidelines
- Provide excellent patient care, including patient education, monitoring, and assessment
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment
- Ensure accurate documentation and image quality
- Follow radiation safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, nurses, and clinic staff
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification
- Active Texas Medical Board (TMB) CMRT license
- CPR certification
- Prior experience in Nuclear Medicine (cardiology experience strongly preferred)
- Experience in outpatient or cardiology clinic settings is highly preferred
