A stable, well-established organization is seeking a Payroll & Benefits Specialist to support payroll and HR benefits administration for a large client/employee owned company. This is a hands-on, operational role focused on accurate payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee support within a fast-paced, people-centered environment.
This opportunity is ideal for a payroll- and benefits-focused professional who enjoys working closely with employees and managers while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and consistency across HR operations.

What you’ll be doing
- Process accurate payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including overtime, bonuses, deductions, garnishments, and taxes
- Maintain payroll records, reporting, tax withholdings, and HRIS documentation
- Support employee onboarding and train managers/employees on timekeeping and payroll processes
- Administer benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement) and manage enrollments
- Assist employees with benefits questions, life-event changes, and claims
- Manage leave of absence processes including FMLA and disability
- Support 401(k) administration, audits, and vendor coordination to ensure compliance
What they’re looking for
- 2+ years of payroll and/or benefits experience
- Experience processing payroll for large employee based
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour compliance, and leave administration
- Experience with payroll systems, timekeeping platforms, and HRIS
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Comfortable supporting a primarily hourly, non-exempt workforce
- Background in blue-collar environments is a plus
