Job Description
The Reserves Network has partnered with a mission-driven nonprofit organization, to identify a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant. This role provides essential financial and accounting support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and experienced in nonprofit or mission-focused environments.
Responsibilities:
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and process weekly payments
• Maintain vendor records, W-9 documentation, and compliance files
• Prepare and record cash, check, and electronic deposits in QuickBooks
• Audit and process employee reimbursements and monthly credit card statements
• Audit, record, and process institutional credit card statements
• Monitor daily cash balances to ensure adequate funds for disbursements
• Reconcile cash postings in coordination with the Development team and Salesforce
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities
• Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for approval
• Support compliance reporting and vendor debarment screening
• Provide Google Workspace administration support
• Maintain professional service contracts for IT and external consultants
• Perform additional finance and administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 1–3 years of accounting or nonprofit finance experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
• 1–3 years of accounting or nonprofit finance experience preferred
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
• Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce preferred

The base pay range for this position is $40,000–$45,000 annually at 45% FTE, excluding benefits or additional compensation. Final compensation is determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for growth.
