Job Description
As an inspector they will provide quality control and assurance throughout all phases of the production process beginning with raw materials and ending with the final product.
Responsibilities:
- Performs assigned, routine visual inspections and other specified tests on raw materials, goods in process, and finished products.
- Final inspection of castings prior to shipment. Contact supervision if rework is needed.
- Compare results of inspections and tests to the company’s quality standards, report results to supervisor for final analysis and action steps.
- Develops, maintains, and posts logs, charts, and forms detailing quality levels, inspection data, and results of special quality studies for review by line mechanics, supervisors, and other production staff.
- Consults with supervisor to determine appropriate recommendations and remedies for questionable products.
- Maintains quality records as needed.
- Performs other quality related duties as assigned (LP and Pressure test)
- Defect analysis
- Inspect and evaluate casting in the welding rack for common indications
- Able to read prints
- Communicating casting problems through pictures, emails, and Quality Holds
- Label skids in the weld rack and finish inspection rack
- Verify if casting surface finish is good enough to then LP
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Visual Inspection training Lv. I
- Casting Defect Analysis Training

The base salary range for this position is $28-38/hr., excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
