Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Pump Mechanic / Millwright who brings deep hands-on technical expertise and proven field leadership. This individual will support refinery, chemical, and industrial operations, handling complex mechanical systems while leading crews on critical maintenance and repair projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform full teardown, inspection, rebuild, and reassembly of pumps and rotating equipment per specifications
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair various pump systems, blowers, motors, and multistage conveyor systems
- Conduct precision alignments, vibration testing, and failure analysis
- Inspect rotors, headplates, and critical components using precision measurement tools
- Maintain and troubleshoot conveyors, fin fans, belt presses, extruders, and related mechanical equipment
- Lead crews on preventative maintenance programs, emergency repairs, and shutdowns
- Ensure strict compliance with safety protocols and job-site requirements
- Minimize equipment downtime through proactive diagnostics and root-cause troubleshooting
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and timely
- Travel to job sites as required by project needs
Qualifications and Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Pump Mechanic and Millwright in industrial environments
- Strong background in refinery, chemical, or heavy industrial operations
- Proven hands-on experience with rotating equipment and pump systems
- Demonstrated leadership experience leading field crews and maintenance teams
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and follow mechanical drawings, specs, and procedures
- Commitment to safety, quality, and reliability
- Willingness and ability to travel as required
- Reliable transportation and stable work history
