Job Description
The Warehouse Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and effective customer support related to orders, billing, shipping, and inventory. This role serves as a key liaison between customers, the warehouse, and internal office teams to ensure accurate order processing and customer satisfaction. The position requires strong communication, organization, and administrative skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Interact with customers via phone, email, or in person to receive orders, service changes, and inquiries
- Process and input customer orders, receipts, and related documentation accurately
- Address customer complaints related to billing or service and coordinate resolutions with appropriate departments
- Generate work orders, verify special requests, post inventory records, and ensure proper invoicing
- Coordinate and expedite special or last-minute shipping requests with freight carriers
- Track orders and provide customers with shipping updates and tracking information
- Act as liaison between warehouse operations and customers regarding orders, invoicing, and credit changes
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one year of related customer service or administrative experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to solve problems and handle multiple priorities with limited supervision
