Job Description
Our client is seeking a dedicated Customer Service & Sales Support Specialist to join their team in Kearney, MO. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the primary liaison between our sales team, retail partners, and valued customers. Perform a variety of administrative functions related to billing and supporting the sales team. Present a professional image both on the phone and in the office. Provide general information on departmental and company policies and procedures to customers.
What You’ll Do:
Sales Support: Process incoming orders, manage vendor portals, and coordinate with the logistics team to ensure on-time delivery.
- Enter incoming orders and invoices daily via the company accounting system and various internet systems according to established procedures at the direction of the supervisor.
- Enter orders in formats as pre-determined by clients and/or company policy for final output as an invoice.
- Maintain familiarity with electronic order entry and billing through websites and other online venues as dictated by necessity.
- Create weekly and/or monthly reports reflecting billing, as directed and needed.
Customer Advocacy: Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, providing professional and timely solutions.
- Account Maintenance: Support the sales team by preparing reports, managing price lists, and maintaining accurate CRM data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production and quality control at our Kearney facility to ensure we exceed customer expectations.
- Assist with prospective customers, including initial structure, monitoring completion of required paperwork, participating in transition to a customer, and assisting with ongoing customer paperwork needs, when appropriate.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP & EDI systems
- Detail-oriented approach with high accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- A professional 3-5 years of experience in customer service, sales support, or administrative
- Experience in the food industry is a plus!
- A master of detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new ERP/ordering software.
- A strong communicator who enjoys building relationships.

The base pay range for this position is $$55,000 + salary, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, that hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
