Job Description
In this role, the Recycling Specialist will be responsible for supporting warehouse recycling and sustainability efforts by sorting, processing, and preparing recyclable materials in an efficient and organized manner. The ideal candidate will consistently follow safety and recycling guidelines while maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. Additional duties may be assigned as operational needs require.
Responsibilities
- Sort and separate recyclable materials according to established guidelines
- Process cardboard, plastics, and other recyclable materials for proper disposal or reuse
- Scan or log materials as required to ensure accurate tracking
- Document daily recycling activity and report any downtime or operational issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of designated recycling areas
- Follow all safety, environmental, and warehouse procedures
Qualifications and Requirements
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting workload demands
- Strong teamwork skills with a reliable and responsible work ethic
- High School Diploma or GED required
