Job Description
We’re seeking a reliable and experienced Prep Cook to support daily food preparation in an industrial warehouse breakroom environment. This role is responsible for preparing ingredients, following recipes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring the kitchen is clean and organized. Previous prep cook experience is required. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently in early morning hours, and a team-oriented mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare food items according to recipes, production schedules, and portion guidelines
- Wash, chop, measure, and organize ingredients for daily meal service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, prep areas, and storage spaces
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store cooking equipment and utensils
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP), including proper labeling, dating, and temperature logs
Assist with inventory rotation and proper food storage (FIFO)
- Work efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Prep cook experience is required
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions
- Dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Ability to work early morning shifts and stand for extended periods

The base pay range for this position is $29,120, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
