Job Description
As a Material Quotation Specialist, you will support the quoting and sales process by developing accurate, competitive material costs for customer Requests for Quote (RFQs). This role involves analyzing electronic components, Bills of Material (BOMs), and printed circuit board (PCB) requirements while collaborating closely with internal teams and supplier partners. Your work directly impacts pricing accuracy, customer satisfaction, and overall business success.
Responsibilities
Manage and track incoming customer RFQs from Sales and Program Management.
Review customer documentation for accuracy and completeness; coordinate internally to resolve gaps.
Upload customer BOMs into Breadboard material quotation software and execute API calls.
Solicit, track, and manage vendor bids from approved domestic and offshore suppliers.
Quote electronic components and PCBs to meet customer and business requirements.
Analyze supplier quotes for cost, lead time, and accuracy; negotiate pricing and delivery improvements.
Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely completion of quotes and bids.
Verify all quoted materials against customer documentation to ensure 100% accuracy.
Compile final material cost summaries aligned with customer lead-time expectations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to sourcing and quotation efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements
Associate’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or 2+ years of equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in material quoting, procurement, supply chain, or electronics manufacturing.
Strong working knowledge of electronic components, BOMs, and PCB assemblies preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, formulas, and data formatting.
Experience interpreting customer RFQs, technical documentation, and assembly data packages.
Familiarity with ERP and material quotation systems; SAP Business One and Breadboard experience is a plus.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in material quoting, procurement, supply chain, or electronics manufacturing.

Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role.
