Job Description
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment throughout the facility. This role supports production uptime by diagnosing electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and installing or modifying electrical equipment. The position requires hands-on experience with industrial electrical systems, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work independently or as part of a maintenance team.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems including PLCs, VFDs, analog controls, and three-phase motor circuits
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems, wiring, panels, breakers, and associated equipment
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and manufacturer manuals to complete maintenance and installation work
- Perform preventative maintenance, document work completed, and support equipment uptime through timely repairs
- Follow all safety policies, identify electrical hazards, and contribute to a safe work environment
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months industrial electrical experience, including PLC, VFD, and advanced electrical controls
- Proficiency using hand and power tools and working with electrical systems and components
- Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and accurately use measuring tools
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices and basic electrical theory
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with flexibility to work varied schedules
