Job Description:
Join a team focused on delivering an outstanding patient experience. As a Customer Service Representative, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients—listening carefully, assessing needs, prioritizing requests, and connecting patients to the right resources to ensure timely support.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients via phone by evaluating the purpose of each call and triaging appropriately
- Educate patients on Patient Services programs/initiatives when applicable
- Enroll new patients/customers into Patient Services
- Document call activity and patient interactions in the database/CRM
- Coordinate follow-up services by communicating with physician offices, pharmacies, and other external partners (e.g., product training, mailings, resources)
- Support additional special projects as needed
- Conduct benefit investigations by calling payers to verify coverage, cost share, and access options
- Identify coverage restrictions and determine steps to help expedite patient access
- Initiate and document prior authorizations (PA) and claims appeals for an assigned caseload
- Support providers with coding/billing questions and complex reimbursement navigation
- Track case progress to ensure service, quality, and compliance standards are met
- Report reimbursement trends or coverage delays to management
- Serve as a liaison between field reps, healthcare providers, and patients
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior experience in customer service; specialty pharmacy experience is a plus
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, web-based tools) and accurate keyboarding
- Experience handling high-pressure, time-sensitive situations with sound judgment and excellent service skills (phone or in-person)
- Ability to multi-task, manage time well, and thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Dependable, strong work ethic, and comfortable receiving coaching/feedback
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Preferred Experience
- Experience using databases/CRMs or tracking systems (Salesforce preferred)
- Experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical environments
- Understanding of challenges patients may face related to medical conditions

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth
