Job Summary:
A large educational institution in Downtown Houston is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Contract Coordinator to support procurement operations. In this role, you will maintain contract records, track expirations, and legal review status, and build advanced Excel trackers that help keep contract workflows running smoothly and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Submit contract intake packages to the Office of General Counsel (OGC)
- Track contract and legal review progress; update the OGC Tracker Status Report
- Build and manage advanced Excel trackers for contracts, expirations, vendors, and workflow activity
- Use XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, filters, formulas, and data-cleaning tools to prepare accurate reports
- Generate weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc reports for procurement leadership
- Draft correspondence and maintain organized contract documentation
- Support contract closeout and archiving
- Provide general administrative support as needed
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree a plus
- (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting, formulas, data cleaning, and tracker-building)
- 3–4+ year’s experience in administrative support, contract administration, procurement support, or office coordination
- High school diploma/GED required
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines

The base pay range for this position is $22.00–$25.00, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
