Job Description
The Receiving Inspector/Receiving Clerk supports both receiving and shipping operations daily, splitting the workday between material inspection and customer delivery preparation. In this role, you will verify incoming materials, inspect parts to engineering standards, and manage transactions within the MRP system.
Responsibilities
- Place incoming materials into “Arrived Status” and receive confirmed purchase orders in the MRP system
- Inspect parts to engineering documentation, specifications, and quality standards
- Verify part quantities match purchase order quantities
- Support customer and production priorities as they arise
- Learn and perform First Article Inspections and prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager and Quality Analyst on daily tasks and special projects
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of receiving and inspection experience in manufactured or purchased parts
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience using general metrology equipment (height gauges, verniers, calipers, etc.)
- MS Office proficiency; experience with MRP systems (IFS a plus)
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to operate Powered Industrial Trucks and pass certification
- Ability to perform basic math including fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages
- Knowledge of valves, castings, machining, or PCB industries a plus
