Job Description
A well-established Omaha-based company is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support daily AR operations, customer billing, and cash application processes. This individual will ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections, and clean reconciliations while maintaining strong internal and external relationships. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work and contributing to a dependable, team-focused finance department.
Responsibilities
- Generate and process accurate customer invoices
- Apply customer payments, credits, and adjustments
- Monitor aging reports and manage collection efforts
- Research and resolve customer billing discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal teams to support accurate and timely billing
- Prepare AR reports and assist with month-end closing activities
- Maintain organized and updated customer records and documentation
- Identify and support process improvements to enhance AR efficiency
Qualifications and Strengths
- 2–4 years of Accounts Receivable or related accounting experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in manual data entry
- Proficiency with Excel; experience with accounting/ERP systems preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work independently while supporting a collaborative team
