Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex network and voice systems across both local and wide area environments. The position oversees the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and VoIP infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance for all users. In addition to monitoring network health and resolving issues, this role leads technical initiatives, guides team members, manages vendor relationships, and contributes to long-term architecture planning. The position requires independent decision-making, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to analyze network traffic, address security vulnerabilities, and support business continuity efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, and VoIP systems to ensure reliable network performance.
- Monitor network activity, troubleshoot performance issues, and resolve complex connectivity problems.
- Develop and implement network architecture strategies, including long-term capacity planning.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for network configurations, build specifications, and installation procedures.
- Lead technical projects, adjust plans based on scope or priority changes, and guide team members in completing tasks.
- Manage network backups and support disaster recovery and business continuity processes.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to identify vulnerabilities, harden systems, and respond to security events.
- Evaluate and recommend network hardware, software, and equipment purchases to support organizational needs.
- Maintain and track network assets, licenses, and related documentation.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical support for network-related issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of hands-on experience supporting medium-to-large-scale network environments.
- Strong knowledge of voice and data networking technologies, operating systems, and unified communications.
- Proficiency in analyzing network traffic, diagnosing performance issues, and implementing solutions.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate requirements for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with network security practices, system hardening, and responding to vulnerabilities or threats.
- Strong communication skills, including clear documentation and effective stakeholder interaction.
- Ability to lead small teams, mentor others, and provide project oversight.
- Strong time-management and multitasking abilities, including working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Preferred certifications: A+, Network+, CCNP, CCIE, Security+, MSCE, or similar.

The Pay Rate range for this position is $47.00 – $55.00 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
