Job Description
We’re seeking an IT Service Engineer to join our client’s Service and Operations team, providing both on-site and remote technical support for end-user systems. In this role, you’ll diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, install and upgrade equipment, maintain IT assets, and collaborate with colleagues across departments to improve system performance and user experience. You’ll also contribute to documentation, assist in technology implementations, and support users through training and troubleshooting. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to impact daily IT operations while gaining exposure to new tools and technologies in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for end-user systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues.
- Install, configure, and upgrade equipment and applications as needed.
- Collaborate with IT Service Desk and other teams to ensure timely ticket resolution.
- Maintain and update the Service and Operations knowledgebase and documentation.
- Conduct user training and assist with IT asset tracking and inventory.
- Support implementation and testing of new technologies and tools.
- Manage user network accounts, groups, and permissions.
- Act as a liaison between Service and Operations, Network, and Platform Engineering teams.
- Analyze technology standards, provide recommendations, and coordinate complex system installations.
- Participate in departmental and company-wide IT projects.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or service engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft endpoint software and operating systems.
- Understanding of common IT support concepts, practices, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Experience with workstation and laptop hardware components.
- Excellent analytical, technical, and communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and leadership abilities with the capacity to work independently.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools (preferred).
- Familiarity with software deployment and patch management tools (preferred).
- Experience with security and compliance tools (preferred).
- Knowledge of ITSM/ITIL practices (preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and train users and team members.

The Pay Rate range for this position is $28 – $39 per hour, excluding benefits. Your final Pay Rate will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
