Job Description
Join one of the largest line pipe distributors in the U.S. as a Yard Supervisor. In this hands-on leadership role, you'll oversee daily yard operations including shipping, receiving, and personnel management. You will ensure safety compliance, optimize workflows, and maintain equipment in a busy industrial environment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, operational efficiency, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and delegate daily yard operations including picking, packing, checking, and shipping
- Ensure all yard equipment (forklifts, pickers, cranes, etc.) is operational and maintained
- Communicate with internal departments such as Receiving, Sales, Logistics, and Front Office
- Monitor and manage daily workload reports, and utilize overtime as needed
- Coordinate outbound shipments including flatbeds, motor freight, and hot shots
Qualifications and Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends (~50 hours/week)
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Stable work history, preferably in an industrial or PVF (pipe, valves, and fittings) setting
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in extreme weather conditions

The base pay range for this position is $47,840–$54,080 annually, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
