Job Description
Join a close-knit, respected livestock operation as a Swine Veterinarian based in Spencer, Iowa! This is a direct hire opportunity with a small, stable company of 30 employees that takes pride in quality care, strong relationships, and a supportive work culture!
Responsibilities:
- Provide veterinary services to swine operations within a 100-mile radius of Spencer, IA
- Ensure herd health and biosecurity through diagnostics, vaccination protocols, and treatment plans
- Collaborate with producers and internal teams to improve herd performance and prevent disease outbreaks
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with veterinary and livestock health regulations
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited program
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa
- 2+ years of experience in swine veterinary medicine highly preferred
- Strong interest in herd health, diagnostics, and production medicine
- Comfortable with on-farm visits and fieldwork
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within service radius
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
