Job Description
Our client, one of the largest line pipe distributors in the United States is looking for a reliable Yard Supervisor. As a Yard Supervisor, you will manage day-to-day operational activities such as delegating workloads, ensuring correct material is picked, packed and shipped, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
What You Will Do:
- Ensure all department equipment is in proper working condition (forklifts, pickers, crane, hand tools, etc.)
- Effectively communicates with department supervisors and upper management. Utilizes email to communicate with Receiving, Front Office, and Sales Departments.
- Manages Daily operational reports to identify workload and utilize OT as needed.
- Manages shipping personnel on picking, packing, checking, and shipping processes.
- Coordinates with Logistics on outbound shipments (flatbeds, Motor freight, hot shots, etc.).
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends (50 hours/week).
- Pass background check and drug screen.
- Stable work history, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Reliable transportation.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols.
- Experience in the PVF industry
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and exert 10-20 lbs. of force regularly.
- Capable of working in extreme weather and performing physical tasks.

The base salary range for this position is $22 to $24 an hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
