Job Description
Our client, an independent oilfield services company, is seeking a skilled Weiler Machinist to operate machinery such as lathes, mills, and grinders. In this role, you’ll work with various taper threads, including rotary and IF threads. Apply today to secure your path to success with The Reserves Network!
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain Weiler machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders, to produce high-quality components for oilfield equipment.
- Set up and adjust machine tools, ensuring precise alignment and calibration for optimal performance.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements and tolerances.
- Identify and work with various taper threads, such as rotary and IF threads, to meet engineering standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operation.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and adherence to quality standards, making adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC Machinist experience, including machine setup and operation.
- Proven ability to accurately program and set up machine tools using the Weiler Sinumerik operating system.
- Recent experience with Fanuc Controls, including familiarity with G-Codes and M-Codes.
- Strong skills in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings.
- Experience working with various taper threads, such as rotary and IF threads.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in machining tasks.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.

If you are hired, your base salary will be determined based on factors such as individual skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
