Job Description
Join a long-standing and respected manufacturing company in the Omaha area during an exciting time of modernization and process improvement. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting the company’s accounting and finance functions, working directly with leadership and serving as a go-to resource for the CFO.
This position is ideal for a driven, early-career accounting professional (2+ years) who enjoys full-cycle accounting, thrives in a collaborative environment, and wants to grow with a company that values innovation, flexibility, and employee development.
Responsibilities
• Complete full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, AP/AR, reconciliations, and some financial reporting
• Support month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls
• Assist with process implementation and system enhancements using Microsoft Business Central
• Maintain and improve internal controls to ensure data integrity and compliance
• Partner with operational teams to analyze costs and performance metrics
• Collaborate with leadership on financial reporting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Contribute to ongoing modernization and automation projects within the accounting function
• Support month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls

Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of staff accounting experience
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP software (preferred)
• Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Tech-savvy, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-changing environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
• Positive, flexible, and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset
• 2+ years of staff accounting experience
• Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP software (preferred)
