About the Opportunity
Our client, a mission-driven organization with a $5M operating budget, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This position plays a key role in managing accounting activities across multiple entities and ensuring timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced with Sage software, and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an immediate opportunity to make an impact by assisting with fiscal year-end close and preparing for the upcoming financial cycle.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain financial records across multiple entities
- Oversee approximately 15 bank and investment accounts
- Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data (including 2025 catch-up work)
- Prepare and submit required financial reports
- Assist with fiscal year-end close and ongoing financial reporting
- Support the migration from Sage to QuickBooks
- Partner with leadership to streamline accounting processes and maintain compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
- Experience with Sage software (required)
- Experience with QuickBooks and accounting system integrations (preferred)
- Experience within religion-based organizations or multi-entity accounting (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure
