Shop Lead
We are partnered with a global manufacturer of a wide range of service in the paper and nonwoven industry. We are in search of machinist who would like to grow into a Shop Lead. Great opportunity for a career minded individual with a desire to learn.
What You will Do:
- Operate manual and/or CNC lathers and milling machines
- Organize plan and prioritize work
- Read work orders and production schedules to determine specifications
- Maintain close tolerance
- Use and maintain precision measuring and inspect equipment
- Select tooling and machining methods
- Perform daily machine/equipment maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area, following all safety protocol
What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3-5 years of manual machining experience
- Ability to read and use tape measurements, callipers, micrometres in both English and Metric
- Familiarity with run out, taper, surface finish, tolerances, and blueprint reading
- Computer skills required for communication and workflow purposes
- Good mechanical aptitude and experience with power hand tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted

What You Need:
- Positive team-player attitude
- PPAP documentation creation and submission experience required
- Experience with basic layout tools (caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.) required
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-2 years relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
