Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join a growing team in Timberlake, NC. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate processing of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory records, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have strong computer and Excel skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Accurately process and prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, packaging, and documentation.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Enter and track inventory data using PC-based warehouse management systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve shipping discrepancies or delays.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and shipping regulations.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and general warehouse organization as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred.
- Strong PC proficiency, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (data entry, formulas, and reporting).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
