Job Description:
The sanitation supervisor is primarily responsible for ensuring strict adherence to USDA regulations and internal company sanitation standards to uphold product quality, procedural consistency, and regulatory compliance. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a clean and safe production environment by implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving sanitation protocols.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate sanitation team members on daily cleaning tasks
Develop, implement, and maintain sanitation procedures and schedules
Conduct regular inspections to ensure sanitation standards and compliance with OSHA, FDA, USDA, or other relevant regulations
Train and coach team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and chemical usage
Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and inspections
Ensure proper use and maintenance of sanitation equipment
Respond promptly to sanitation-related issues and emergencies
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum B.S Degree or equivalent work experience in food manufacturing
• In-depth knowledge of HACCP principles and sanitation best practices.
• Strong leadership, and problem-solving skills, ability to use Excel, Word & Outlook.
• Must have knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Familiarity with sanitation equipment, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
