Job Description:
We are seeking a results-driven Rendering Superintendent to lead the night shift at a large-scale production facility, including the plant, warehouse, and surrounding grounds. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while optimizing the rendering departments growth and function
Responsibilities:
• Oversee plant operations to meet stringent food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement, and monitor protocols, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal guidelines.
• Manage third-party sanitation service providers, ensuring compliance with contract terms and performance expectations.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify growth improvement opportunities, and prioritize corrective actions.
• Maintain and update the schedule and hiring to ensure all scheduled tasks are completed effectively.
• Prepare and present performance reports and documentation to plant leadership.
• Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols, during all activities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Proven experience in sanitation management within a food manufacturing in pork or beef.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct detailed facility inspections and risk assessments.
• Proficiency in documenting and communicating rendering processes and results.
• Familiarity with all equipment, chemical handling, and safety procedures.
