Job Description
The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections on all products, including line inspections and ESD monitoring. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and an understanding of electronic components and inspection processes. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in IPC-A-610 Class 2 standards and capable of ensuring products meet customer and industry specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Recognize and read values, polarity, and orientation of thru-hole and SMT components (capacitors, resistors, transistors, ICs, etc.).
- Perform inspections using gauging equipment to meet customer and IPC standards.
- Identify and read customer-supplied assembly drawings for component orientation and reference designators.
- Utilize a bill of materials to verify customer part numbers and inspection requirements.
- Conduct periodic spot checks to ensure compliance with ESD procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2-4 years of electronics assembly inspection experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow quality processes.
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, and stretch for prolonged periods.
- Manual dexterity and good eyesight for performing detailed tasks.
- Experience with gauging and measuring tools.
